Terms & Conditions
Original artwork sales through anastasijasarajeva.com
Last updated: 3 September 2026
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before placing an order. They explain who I am, how orders are accepted, how delivery and returns work, and the rights and responsibilities that apply when you buy an original artwork from this website.
1. About me and these Terms
This website is operated by Anastasija Sarajeva, a self-employed sole trader based in the United Kingdom. In these Terms, “I”, “me” and “my” mean Anastasija Sarajeva. “You” and “your” mean the person placing an order.
Business and returns address:
Anastasija Sarajeva
4 Queens Road
The Old Town Hall, Huddle
SW19 8YB
United Kingdom
Email: info@anastasijasarajeva.com
Website: anastasijasarajeva.com
These Terms apply to purchases of original artwork through this website. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you agree to these Terms.
2. The artworks
I currently sell original artworks only. Each work is a unique physical object and is available only once. Unless a listing clearly says otherwise, artworks are sold unframed.
Each product page will describe the artwork as accurately as reasonably possible, including its title, dimensions, materials, surface, whether it is stretched or unstretched, and any significant condition information. Please read the full listing before ordering.
Original artworks may contain variations, irregular edges, visible working marks, texture, layering, pinholes, joins, collage elements or other characteristics arising from the materials and making process. Where these are part of the artwork as described and shown, they are not faults.
I take reasonable care to represent colours and details accurately. However, screen settings, lighting and photography can affect how colours and textures appear. Slight differences between the digital image and the physical artwork do not by themselves mean the artwork is faulty or misdescribed.
3. Availability
Because every artwork is unique, it can be sold only once. Placing an artwork in your basket does not reserve it. If an artwork is sold through another channel before I accept your order, I will contact you and refund any payment made.
I may remove an artwork from sale or refuse an order before acceptance, including where:
An artwork is unavailable.
There is an obvious pricing or description error.
I cannot deliver to the requested address.
Accepting the order would breach a legal, sanctions, payment-provider, courier or insurance restriction.
4. Placing an order and formation of the contract
The display of an artwork on the website is an invitation to place an order. When you submit an order, you are offering to buy the artwork under these Terms.
An automatic order acknowledgement confirms that I have received your order, but it does not necessarily mean that I have accepted it. The contract is formed when I send you an order confirmation accepting the order.
If payment has been taken but I cannot accept the order, I will issue a full refund using the original payment method.
The checkout process allows you to review your order and to identify and correct any input errors before you submit it.
Please check your order and delivery details carefully before submitting them. Contact me as soon as possible if you notice an error. I cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an artwork has been dispatched.
5. Prices and VAT
Artwork prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). I am not currently registered for VAT, so VAT is not charged or shown separately.
The artwork price includes appropriate standard packaging and delivery within Greater London, as explained in section 8.
Delivery outside Greater London is charged separately and will be shown at checkout or confirmed in a written quotation before you are asked to pay.
I take reasonable care to display correct prices. If there is an obvious pricing error, I may cancel the order before acceptance and refund any payment made. I will not charge an additional payment or optional extra without your express agreement.
6. Payment
Payment is required in full. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. American Express is not accepted. I do not receive or store your complete card details.
Payment must be authorised and cleared before the artwork is dispatched or delivered. Your card issuer or payment provider may apply its own terms, security checks or currency-conversion charges.
7. Delivery overview
I pack each artwork carefully and choose a courier or delivery method appropriate to its size, materials, value and destination. The courier may therefore vary between orders. Tracking or delivery updates will be provided where available.
Delivery dates are estimates unless I expressly agree a fixed date in writing. I will aim to deliver within the timeframe shown on the Shipping & Delivery page or agreed with you.
If no different timeframe is agreed, UK consumer law normally requires delivery without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is made.
Please read the Shipping & Delivery policy for packing information, delivery estimates and indicative return costs.
8. Delivery zones and charges
The following delivery zones are intended to keep delivery reliable and appropriately insured. Exact availability can depend on the artwork, delivery postcode, courier service and insurance limits.
Greater London
The City of London and the 32 London boroughs, confirmed by delivery postcode. Standard delivery is included in the artwork price.
Rest of UK mainland
England, Wales and mainland Scotland outside Greater London, excluding areas requiring an individual quotation below. Delivery is added at checkout or quoted before payment.
Extended delivery areas
Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and islands, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. An individual quotation is required.
Europe
EU and EEA countries, Switzerland and selected other European destinations. Delivery is added at checkout or individually quoted.
United States and Canada
Delivery is added at checkout or individually quoted. Remote destinations may require an individual quotation.
Australia and New Zealand
Delivery is individually quoted before payment.
Selected Asian destinations
Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan. Delivery is individually quoted before payment.
Other destinations
I may consider delivery to another destination by prior written agreement, subject to a suitable courier, insurance, customs requirements, sanctions screening and a delivery quotation. Please contact me before ordering.
9. Destinations I do not currently serve
I do not currently ship to Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine or Yemen.
I also do not ship to Crimea, to non-government-controlled areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson or Zaporizhzhia, or to any country or territory where a suitable insured service is unavailable.
This is a practical business restriction as well as a legal and safety measure. Delivery restrictions, sanctions and carrier services can change without notice.
The current list will be maintained on the Shipping & Delivery page.
I will not process an order involving a sanctioned person, entity, territory or prohibited transaction, even if the destination is not named above.
10. International orders, customs and import charges
International delivery charges do not include import VAT, sales tax, customs duty, brokerage fees, handling charges or similar destination-country costs unless I clearly state otherwise.
You are responsible for these charges and for providing any information reasonably required for customs clearance.
Customs authorities may open or inspect a shipment. I am not responsible for delays caused by customs or for charges imposed by authorities or local carriers. I will complete customs documents accurately and will not mark a commercial sale as a gift or declare a false value.
If a shipment is refused, unclaimed or returned because import charges were not paid or required information was not supplied, I will contact you.
Where permitted by law, any refund may be reduced by reasonable direct customs, storage, return-delivery or recovery costs actually incurred. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Some artworks or materials may require an export licence, import permit or other legal documentation. If a required permission cannot reasonably be obtained, I may cancel the order and issue a full refund.
11. Delivery address and receipt
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, postcode, telephone number and any access instructions reasonably needed by the courier.
I cannot be responsible for loss or delay caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.
You must ensure that someone is available to receive and, where required, sign for the artwork. Couriers do not normally deliver to PO boxes.
If delivery fails because no one is available or the address is inaccessible, you may be responsible for reasonable re-delivery or return costs.
12. Risk and ownership
The artwork remains my property until I have received full cleared payment.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the artwork is physically received by you or by a person you identify to receive it, other than the courier I arranged.
Please inspect the package and artwork as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and keep all packaging until you are satisfied that the artwork arrived safely.
13. Delays and events outside my control
I am not responsible for a delay or failure caused by an event outside my reasonable control, such as severe weather, fire, flood, transport disruption, strike, war, civil unrest, customs action, border closure, courier suspension, cyber incident or government restriction.
If such an event significantly affects your order, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce the delay.
If delivery cannot be completed within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund.
14. Your right to cancel an online order
If you are a consumer, you may cancel an online order without giving a reason from the date the contract is formed until 14 days after the day you, or a person nominated by you, receives the artwork.
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, this is your legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and nothing in these Terms reduces it.
I also voluntarily apply the same 14-day change-of-mind period to individual consumer orders in all other delivery zones, unless the mandatory law applying to you gives you a longer or more favourable right.
To cancel, you must send a clear statement to info@anastasijasarajeva.com before the cancellation period expires.
You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to.
All artworks currently sold through the website are ready-made originals. An artwork is not treated as personalised merely because it is unique.
If I offer commissioned or genuinely personalised work in the future, it will be covered by separate written terms and cancellation rights may differ.
15. Returning an artwork after cancellation
After telling me that you wish to cancel, you must send the artwork back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day you told me.
Please contact me before sending anything so that I can provide suitable return instructions. Returns should be sent to the business and returns address stated in section 1 unless I give you another address in writing.
For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for arranging and paying for suitable return delivery. The artwork must be securely packaged and sent using a tracked and adequately insured service appropriate to its full value.
Indicative return-delivery costs for works that cannot normally be returned by post will be shown on the Shipping & Delivery page or provided before purchase.
Please reuse the original packaging where reasonably possible. If it is unsuitable, you must use equivalent protective packaging.
You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining an artwork in a gallery or shop.
16. Refunds following cancellation
If you cancel in accordance with section 14, I will refund the artwork price and the cost of the least expensive standard outbound delivery option offered for your destination.
If you chose a more expensive or enhanced delivery service, the additional amount is not refundable. Where Greater London delivery was included in the artwork price, there is no separate outbound delivery charge to refund.
I may withhold the refund until I receive the artwork back or you provide evidence that you have sent it, whichever happens first.
The refund will be made within 14 days after that point, using the original payment method unless we expressly agree otherwise. I will not charge a cancellation or restocking fee.
I may make a lawful deduction if the artwork has lost value because it was handled beyond what was necessary to establish its nature and characteristics, or because it was damaged while under your care.
17. Damaged, faulty or misdescribed artwork
I am responsible for supplying artwork that is as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any purpose I expressly agreed with you.
Nothing in these Terms limits your legal rights where an artwork is faulty, damaged on arrival or materially different from its description.
If an artwork or package arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible at info@anastasijasarajeva.com.
Please include:
Your order number.
Clear photographs of the outer packaging and shipping label.
Clear photographs of the internal packaging and artwork.
Keep all packaging while the matter is investigated, as the courier may need to inspect it.
A prompt report helps me make a courier or insurance claim, but it does not remove or shorten any statutory rights you have.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the available remedy may be a refund, repair, price reduction or another appropriate solution. I will pay reasonable return costs where the artwork is faulty, damaged on arrival or misdescribed.
18. Framing, installation and care
Unless the listing says otherwise, artworks are supplied unframed.
You are responsible for choosing a competent framer or installer and for checking that any fixings, glazing, mount, backing and display method are suitable for the artwork and the wall or location.
After delivery, I am not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable framing or installation, accidental damage, incorrect handling, damp, mould, heat, smoke, cleaning products, pests, direct sunlight, excessive humidity or unsuitable storage, except where the law says otherwise.
19. Certificates of authenticity and records
Where stated on the product page, the artwork will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity or signed documentation.
The certificate forms part of the artwork records and should be kept safely and transferred with the work if it is later sold or gifted.
You may resell or give away the physical artwork. A later transfer of ownership does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.
20. Copyright and intellectual property
Buying an artwork transfers ownership of the physical artwork only.
All copyright, moral rights and other intellectual-property rights remain with Anastasija Sarajeva unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
You may display the physical artwork for private, non-commercial purposes and may photograph it for personal records or a private resale listing.
You must not reproduce, publish, distribute, license, mint, tokenise, commercially exploit, make merchandise from, or create derivative products from the artwork or its image without my prior written permission.
The website, artwork images, text, logo and other content are also protected by intellectual-property law. Website content may not be copied or reused for commercial purposes without permission.
21. Personal information and privacy
I use personal information to process orders, take payment, arrange delivery, prevent fraud, communicate with you and meet legal obligations.
Further details about the information collected, the services used and your rights are set out in my Privacy Policy.
Stripe, couriers and other service providers may process information under their own privacy terms where necessary to provide their services.
22. My liability
I do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
If I fail to comply with these Terms, I am responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that failure or of my failure to use reasonable care and skill. I am not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was formed.
These Terms are intended for consumer purchases.
If you buy an artwork wholly or mainly for business, trade or resale purposes, please contact me before ordering because separate business terms may be required.
I am not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings in connection with a consumer order.
23. Cancelling an order by me
I may cancel an order before delivery if the artwork is unavailable, damaged before dispatch, affected by an obvious error, cannot lawfully be exported or delivered, or no suitable insured delivery service is available.
If I cancel, I will notify you and refund all amounts paid for the cancelled order.
24. Complaints and contacting me
If you have a question or complaint, please email info@anastasijasarajeva.com.
Include your name, order number and a clear description of the issue. I will acknowledge the complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 10 working days.
These Terms do not require you to give up any right to contact your card provider, consumer-advice service, regulator or court where appropriate.
25. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the website, delivery arrangements or the law.
The Terms applying to your order are the version available when the contract is formed. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated.
26. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any contract between us are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also retain any mandatory consumer protection given to you by the law of your home country.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts where you live under applicable consumer law.
27. General terms
If a court or competent authority finds part of these Terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right. No person other than you and me has a right to enforce this contract, except where the law expressly provides otherwise.
Model cancellation form
Complete and send this form only if you wish to cancel your contract. You may instead send any other clear statement of cancellation by email.
